About Erin
Erin is an author and marketer living in Washington, DC. Her debut novel will be published by Penguin Random House in 2024.
Erin holds her MFA in writing for children and young adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts and writes fiction, poetry, and criticism. She also loves to work with other writers (and people who want to improve their writing) across age ranges and levels of experience. Learn more about her teaching here.
In addition to her work as an author, Erin runs Spondee Studio, a marketing and content strategy studio for small and medium-sized businesses, and has more than a decade of experience on both the agency side and in-house on creative and marketing teams.

The UX Research Collective invited Erin to record a talk about storytelling for their learning platform, where she got to chat about story structure and tips for crafting a great narrative.
Erin co-hosted a webinar with Matt Arnold of Spark Consulting Group, titled “Once Upon a Time, Customers Loved Us,” a one-hour session busting the top six storytelling myths.
Erin appeared on the Iowa Idea podcast, where she discussed storytelling, the writing process, the ups and downs of language learning, and more.
Erin ran three virtual workshops for the DC Center, in preparation for a storytelling event for LGBTQ+ veterans. They covered story structure, storytelling strategies, why storytelling is so effective, and more.
